Fire-Painted Copper Earrings by local Baltimore artist Earl Jones
"Working out of my studio in Baltimore, MD, I cut and forge copper shape and then heat them to elicit variegated colorations. I protect them with a minimum of four layers of lacquer. The earrings will not tarnish, do not require maintenance and can be worn in the rain, although they should be gently dried with a soft cloth to avoid water spotting on the finish. Please note the excessive scrubbing can weaken the coating. The ear wires are hypoallergenic, nickel-free stainless steel with a gold-colored plating."
